All measured data are then clearly displayed in the manufacturer app and classified as “low”, “normal” or “high” for better orientation. However, this information, calculated by the scales in a few seconds, should rather be regarded as an orientation value; it does not replace a visit to the doctor for health problems such as eating disorders.

Installation and commissioning: eufy Smart Scale P1 scale

In our Review, the smart scale was set up amazingly quickly in just 4 steps. That’s how it works:

1. The EufyLife app (Android | iOS) install on the smartphone and accept the license agreement specified by the manufacturer.
2. Create a user account. In addition to the e-mail address and a password, enter the most important basic data about the person (age, gender, height).
3. Activate Bluetooth and GPS function on the smartphone. However, it was not entirely clear to us what the GPS location should be necessary for.
4. Add device, click in the app and stand on the scale. Then both devices connect automatically.

Our tip: The standard setting is usually lbs (pounds). However, this can be easily changed into the common kilogram classification with just two clicks. To do this, tap the symbol with the three dots at the top right, then touch the> symbol to the right of the term unit and then select kg.

Review report and conclusion about the eufy Smart Scale P1 

So that the values ​​were also meaningful in our short Review, we carried out six measurements at certain times of the day and then compared the weight again with the measured values ​​of a classic digital scale (without app). The first measurement with the eufy Smart Scale P1 was an unpleasant surprise. The weight measured by eufy Smart Scale P1 was around two kilograms higher than usual, although we had already taken daily measurements a few weeks beforehand and had not made any changes in diet or activity in the meantime. At the next measurement, the weight suddenly returned to its normal average value according to the smart scale.

The fluctuations we measured may be due to an error that occasionally occurs when the scales are first calibrated, but unfortunately we cannot recommend the eufy Smart Scale P1 with a clear conscience. This is not only due to the inaccurate and contradictory measurement results during the Review, which occurred over several days, but also due to the many authorizations that are requested by the app. The manufacturer behind eufy, Anker z. B. activating the GPS function to locate the smartphone. What this is supposed to be good for, although the activation of Bluetooth is sufficient for many other scales, unfortunately did not open up to us.

While the connection between smartphone and scale initially worked well, there were always connection problems between the two devices from the fourth day of testing. Last but not least, the scale automatically changed itself again and again from the desired kilogram specification to pounds. We found it very annoying to reconfigure this daily in the app or on the scale.

In our Review, the scale calculates all measured values ​​within a few seconds 

So far there are hardly any customer reviews or testimonials about the eufy Smart Scale P1 scale. So far, for example, only seven customers have rated the scale at Amazon. Some of them also reported that the scales falsified their measurements by 2 kg or incorrectly calculated the muscle percentage. Overall, the Amazon customers nevertheless gave 3.9 out of 5 stars.
