How accurate is Withings BPM?The Withings blood pressure monitor is accurate within ±3 mmHg for arterial pressure and ±5% for pulse.
The cuff of Withings is applied to the measurement as usual on the upper arm. The upper arm measurement method is known to provide the most accurate results. After applying the cuff, a button must be pressed, which starts the measurement. Subsequently, the cuff inflates as usual and determines the blood pressure within the arteries. The result is then displayed on the Bluetooth-smart health connected smartphone. The device is CE marked, which demonstrates compliance with European Medical Device Regulations. Power is supplied by four conventional AAA batteries.

The associated smartphone app (iOS / Android ) of Withings shows the user not only the measured systole and diastole but also the heart rate and gives an intuitively understandable feedback in traffic light logic. This is based on the guidelines of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) and the American Heart Association (AHA) for hypertension. So it is clear to the layman at a glance whether everything is in the “green zone”. The measuring accuracy is ± 3 mmHg (2% of the measured value).
