Rewarded with an Innovation Awards at CES 2019, the Ile-de-France company Withings presents the first analog connected watch Withings Move ECG that allows you to take an electrocardiogram (ECG) anywhere and anytime.

A new watch for the brand which regained its independence from Nokia in 2024, and which follows the release of the very good Withings Pulse HR activity bracelet.

Move ECG design and innovation

If its style is minimalist, it is quite simply that the screen is analog, with a very classic dial of 38 mm in diameter, and a bracelet thin enough to make it very comfortable to wear.

It is available in 2 versions with white or gold dial and already 3 blue, orange and black bracelets.

But the innovation is there, it includes 3 electrodes, one placed on the crown, supplemented by 2 present on the back of the case in contact with your skin.

Ultra simple to use, touch the dial with 2 fingers for 20 seconds and you will get your ECG directly on the dedicated smartphone application (iOS and Android). If atrial fibrillation is detected, you are immediately notified, and you can send the information directly to your doctor.

Atrial fibrillation, or atrial fibrillation (AF), is the most common type of heart rhythm disorder. It can lead to heart failure and a major risk of stroke. When your heart contracts normally, it completely drains the blood; however, an irregular contraction can lead to blood stagnation, sometimes resulting in the formation of blood clots and the manifestation of strokes.

Some people don’t know they have AF because they have no symptoms. Others may experience palpitations or rapid shortness of breath.

She also takes over the functions of 24-hour activity and sleep monitoring, as well as a health coach to reduce the risk of AF.

Monitoring of physical and sports activities

It automatically measures 10 daily activities like walking, running, biking or swimming (calories burned).

You can launch GPS tracking by pressing the side button and get the map of your route, your pace, the distance traveled and your altitude on your mobile screen.

Thanks to the integration of an altimeter, it also counts the number of steps climbed, to motivate you to be more active.

In addition, it is waterproof up to 50 meters (ATM), usable for swimming, but still not in scuba diving.

All the statistical data of your activity is directly transmitted and represented on the Heath mate mobile application.

Sleep tracking

The Move ECG analyzes your sleep cycles (light and deep), interruptions, depth and regularity to determine a quality score for your nights.

In addition, it takes over the Smart Wake-up function to wake you up at the best time of your sleep cycle.

Connectivity with a record autonomy of 12 months
One of the other advantages of the Move ECG is that it offers 12 months of autonomy, where most connected watches offer 1 to 5 days.

This is achieved through the abandonment of a digital touch screen, in favor of a seemingly analog version. Since the sensors automatically synchronize your data with the Health Mate application available for smartphones on iOS or Android (last update in November 2018, version 4.1.0).

You can also follow much nicer charts on the Withings activity and health monitoring site.

Price and availability Withings Move ECG

The price of the Move ECG is sold at € 129. The Move ECG is a medical device validated by the authorities of the FDA and CE (American and European health organizations).
